Workshops

Workshops are for writers who want to share their work, receive honest feedback, and learn how to thoughtfully critique other writers’ work. All genres are welcome: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and beyond.

Details:

– 4 weeks
– ONLINE: 2.5 hours/week
– $150
– 8 students MAX
– Date/Time TBD

Note: Workshops are held on weekday evenings (6-8:30 pm PST) or weekend afternoons (1-3:30 pm PST) and require time outside of class to read and take notes. Each week, two students will be workshopped, which allows for one workshop per student per four-week session. So, if you wrote a short story, that story will be workshopped on, for example, week 2; for the remainder of the weeks you are reading and critiquing your fellow students’ work. Once there is enough interest, I will send out a newsletter with possible dates.

Testimonial

I worked with Jason for over a year, culminating in a sketch show (pre-pandemic). He is knowledgeable, perceptive, funny, and kind. I highly recommend anything he teaches. – Lisa Woods, Writer/Improviser
